Consignment Information

We have a limit of 30 items on all clothing drop-offs. We will only accept clothing that meets the criteria outlined below.

All items brought in must be in a "Ready to Sell" condition which means freshly laundered, in excellent condition (no smoke, pet hair or stains and not wrinkled), in style, brandname and in season. Most consignors bring in their items folded in bins that get deposited into our own drop off bins.

Toys must be wiped down, clean, free of debris and ready for sale with all working parts. All items must be assembled prior to, or at the store, for review. We ask this since you are the one who knows the item best. Product instructions or manuals always make it easier to sell the item. All battery-operated items must arrive with fresh batteries (dollar store batteries are cheap and work fine).

Please be prepared to spend a little time in our store while we review your items. Stop in anytime Monday - Friday to bring us your items. Saturdays can be busy and therefore not a good day to bring in new consignments. Items that are neat and organized in bins or laundry baskets are easier for us to look through. Please do not bring us clothing in garbage bags.

If we happen to miss a stain or tear during our initial review we will contact you and put the item(s) aside for 1 (one) week for you to pick up. If not retrieved by then, we will donate the item(s) to charity. To save you time and convenience please make sure what you are bringing in is the very best.

Toys, and baby equipment are checked against the Consumer Product Safety Commission's list of recalled or defective items and will be disposed off if they appear on the list.

You may also want to call ahead to make sure we are not overstocked with the item(s) you are wishing to consign.

What We Are Looking For

• Clothing
  • Gap, Gymboree, Tommy Hilfiger, Mexx, Ralph Lauren, Laura Ashley, Children's Place, Please Mum, Old Navy, OshKosh, Petite Lem.
  • We will accept some others too such as: Joe, Pekkle, Carters and some really cute items that aren't brand names to be determined by staff.
  • Shoes, boots, hats, mitts (in season), ties, purses and back packs in any names.
• Toys
  • Anything fun and safe!
  • Dress up clothes and costumes (in season).
  • Books and Children's DVD's.

Any items not listed, please contact us to determine if we can sell it.

1. Please call before coming in to drop off clothing and toys. We rarely turn away spontaneous drop-offs but we also like to have the time to oooh and ahhhh over your items so we want to put aside some special time just for you.
2. We have a 30 item limit on clothing, however we will only select the items that fall within our product guidelines. Please make sure you have looked over the above section to make sure all the items you bring in will be excitedly scooped up by our staff.
3. Please allow up to 20 minutes for us to look through your clothing or drop them off and give us a quick call to insure all your items were put out at the store. We like to chat and hear some of the stories behind the items you bring in so think of it as a social call.
4. For those with heavier items or toys, ask us to help you out with them. Some of us have been training at the gym for this very reason.
5. If items are brought in at end of a consignment period they are subject to immediate discounts.

All unsold pieces must be retrieved ON or BEFORE the end of the pre-determined 90-day consignment period. Pick-up dates will be provided.

All unsold consignment items NOT picked up by the consignment period Pick-up Date will automatically become the property of Dandelion Kids. These products will remain on the shelves at a reduced rate; funds received from any further sales will be awarded to Dandelion Kids in order to compensate for the time on the shelf.

Following this period, any unsold merchandise will be donated to one of the Charities listed below or to needy families in the area.
